An improved 24‐pulse rectifier for harmonic mitigation in more electric aircraft

چکیده
To increase the power rating and reduce cost complexity of a multi-pulse rectifier (MPR), it is well known that pulse number must be increased. In some practical cases, 12-pulse (12PR) suggested as good solution considering its relatively simple structure low weight. However, rectifiers cannot technically meet standards harmonic distortion requirements for industrial applications, therefore they used along with output filters. Two cost-effective 24-pulse (24PRs) are in article, which consist polygon autotransformer 12PR two doubling circuits (PDCs) at dc link. The first PDC (PDC1) based on an inter-phase transformer (IPT) step-up secondary winding, second one (PDC2) IPT step-down winding. show advantages proposed combinations compared other solutions, simulation results used, also prototype implemented to evaluate verify results. experimental test total (%THD) input current PDC1 less than 3.67%, PDC2 1.45%, meets IEEE 519 DO-160G requirements. Also, shown comparison configurations cost-effective, factor near unity, almost 29% load rating, efficiency 97.5%, makes them more electric aircraft.
